Well do a double dip on the Wreck of the Bibb. This means we will moor up to a ball for two dives which will give those divers with technical certifications the ability to do extended time on the wreck. If you do not have technical certifications then you can do one dive, come back aboard for a minimum of 45 min surface interval, then dive the wreck again.
The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bibb lies on her starboard side on a sandy bottom in 130 feet of water one mile south of Molasses Reef off Key Largo. After being decommissioned on August l, 1985 as the oldest active U.S. military vessel, the Bibb and her sister ship the Duane were donated to the Keys Association of Dive Operators for use as an artificial reef. On November 27, 1987 she was towed to Molasses Reef, her hatches opened, her holds pumped full of water, and down she went to begin her final assignment.
